From the earth, for the body.
Every ingredient is considered when being added to our products. I have always said that Mother Nature has given us the gift of herbs, and nature is our personal medicine cabinet. Each herb holds so many powers and properties that benefit our bodies in many ways.
What’s in a Salve?
-
All herbs used in our products have been harvested and stored properly. They are steeped together in the oil and stored in a dark dry place to ensure a proper absorption process.
-
Essential oils can be used in many ways. In our products, essential oils are used to add a calming scent and effect to each.
-
We use 100% pure yellow beeswax. This beeswax is produced when bees consume honey, and it can take up to 9 pounds of honey to make 1 pound of beeswax alone!
-
The oil used to make some of our products is 100% extra virgin olive oil. Olive oil is a great carrier oil to use for steeping herbs and extracting their healing properties. Olive oil contains vitamin A, E and K and will greatly benefit your skin’s moisture barrier.
Our salves are considered a thick moisturizer and a slightly thicker balm. Salves have a smaller beeswax ratio than the average balm, making them easily absorbable. Our salve is fast melting when rubbed into the skin, which ensures absorption that minimizes the greasy feeling that balms can leave behind.
Beeswax on its own is used for many things, but when mixed with other ingredients such as shea butter, olive oil or other natural oils, it acts as a moisture barrier to the skin.
All of our salves are made with natural ingredients, and purposeful light scented essential oils.
